Kanaan Ministries has been actively involved in Malmesbury prison (South Africa) for many years and is represented fulltime by Liza Anthony – a volunteer – who spent three years training before she applied what she learned from Kanaan Ministries in the prison.

We received the following letter from the inmates incarcerated in Malmesbury prison, attending the Soul Care program, headed up by Liza:

Trevor :
” I hold seven degrees, one of which include theology, but what I’m learning from this little lady is things that I have never heard before in my life, it’s life changing.”
Craven:
When he was still in Prison he said that, he actually prayed to God, that He might keep Moeder alive, because he wants her to walk the path with him outside as well, and that is exactly what the Lord granted him, he is still walking with Moeder (Liza) as they call her and also by choice, because he could choose to do his own thing, and forget what the Lord has done for him in prison. For a moment he did and it almost cost his life, but thanks to God’s grace and love He remembered what Craven prayed. Abba lifted him up from the muddy clay with His mighty hand and now he is still standing firm in the Lord, Hallelujah !!!
Hyron:
Hyron went back to the judge who found him guilty and sentenced him, to show him what the Lord has done through Moeder (Liza) to transform him into this product standing in front of him.He thanked this judge that he sentenced him, because if it wasn’t for prison and the hold, who got a hold of him, his life could have turned out different. That motivated that judge in such a way that he said , ” even if it was just one who came back,  it means  I did something right ” praise the LORD !
Felando:
He is still without a job with a payslip , but he now owns a car and bakkie just from cutting and selling wood. He trusts the Lord on a daily basis and as the Lord provides for him physically, even more spiritually , Felando is still keeping in touch with his spiritual mother,Moeder (Liza) and is growing like never before. He makes statements to say that he will never forget what the Lord has done through the Holy spirit in  Moeder . He now realizes what the Lord has done on the cross for him and there is no way that he can still serve the Lord half- hearted anymore. The woman that wants to marry him must know that he will never compromise what is invested in him, for no one.
Liza:
” I still trust the Lord on a daily basis to keep me healthy and strong in order for me to pull people together with Him out of their proverbial holes so that they might live and not just exist.”
